Put an old clean cloth or rag over the dried candle wax. Press cloth with a VERY hot iron, it'll take the wax off carpet, sofas, wherever you spill it.

Thanks for that IB ~ I can now attempt to remove the pools of candle wax on the carpet in front of the altar! Rolling Eyes

I usually use hot water and pour it on the place where the wax is... last time it worked like a charm on my reading glasses lenses... Embarassed

Hot iron and brown paper bag works really well too on soft stuff - if the wax is on such as a candlestick or your fire surround (yes my candles often spill wax onto the wrought iron fire surround!!) then a hairdryer on very hot setting and as the wax starts to melt rub off with a dry cloth or kitchen roll!

You all laugh because I am different, I laugh because you are all the same.

I haven't been the same since that house fell on my sister.

Wow! It's reminded me that I've got candlewax on my fleece cloak and also on a long hippy skirt from playing the trying to keep a candle lit in a breeze ritual game! Firesprite's tips for getting wax off candlesticks will also come in handy when the urge takes me to clean then!

Blessings
